The weather is getting warmer and the children already have summer on their minds. Please remind them it’s not over yet. They have a lot more to learn before they become second graders. We are almost there! Thank you to all the parents who helped with parties, teacher luncheons, and Art in a Suitcase. Most importantly, a big Thanks for getting your children here on time each day, ready to learn! You are the Best!
My office hours are Mondays from 2:45-4:45.

Units of Study:
Reading: In the 2nd grade reading book there is an emphasis on comprehension, so continue to work on the Knowledge and Comprehension levels of the Blooms Taxonomy paper I sent home. Please go over any workbook pages I send home each week with your child.
Math: After testing and Spring Break, the children will learn subtraction regrouping [borrowing].This multi-step skill will be less challenging if the children can stay focused on the task and have mastered the subtraction facts!
