Well, I knew it was coming, but officially beginning our 4^th quarter still amazed me – where has the time gone?!  This is truly a year I will be so very sad to see end – I have enjoyed this class, and am not quite ready to let them go!

We’ll spend our last quarter finishing up our personal narratives and working on a mini research paper in English.  The paper will introduce the process for a research paper including outlining, note cards, etc.  We will do all the work at school.  In Math we’ll look at time and temperature, fractions, and some basic geometry.  Reading will bring the completion of Theme 3, and exploration of different literary genres, as well as our timeline biography.

Please encourage your child to maintain their focus and effort through the 4^th term.  As the weather gets warmer and we start looking toward summer vacation, it is easy to relax and slack off a bit.  Hang in there and finish strong!

I can’t tell you how amazing your support has been this year.  Thank you so much for your generosity, your help at home, and for your communication throughout the year.  As wonderful as it is to have a class of great students like these, a class of great parents is the icing on the cake!!
